In reply to Mike McLeish. Thank you for your comment :-) Yes, we really need more cycle paths and lanes in the UK. Its such a shame we lack them here in the UK. Would be so much safer when cycling with the kids. Oh yes the back breaking bikes are scary, they definitely take some getting use to!

Holland is awesome for cycling, it’s pretty embarrassing when you compare it to the infrastructure we have in the UK.

The roads make it so easy as well, ideal if you’ve got to cycle around with a bicycle trailer.

I’m not much of a fan the backbreaking bikes they have though. I nearly fell off the first time I rode one!

In reply to Lauren M. Thank you for commenting :-) yes we really need to make the UK more like Holland. It can be far too dangerous to cycle in the UK. It also doesnt help that so many people cycle without helmets and don't know how to cycle properly on the roads. x

In reply to Jenny. It definitely is a place to go if you love cycling. We were still cycling like we were back home and stopping at junctions and roundabouts but the cars on roundabouts just stop for cyclists and let you go across. Its a very strange experience. x

I love how easy cycling there looks, brilliant cycle paths, better awareness of cyclists and less steep hills! Kids on the back definitely add a lot of weight though. Well done to big K for cycling all that way too! Thanks for sharing on #Whatevertheweather 🙂 x

It looks and sounds beautiful! My friend used to live in Amsterdam and cycled everywhere, I remember when she described it to me I thought to myself it sounds like such a wonderful healthy outdoor lifestyle. I would love it!
