How about this? A day out for the whole family in Edinburgh! You could head to East Links Family Park, near Edinburgh. The park offers plenty of fun things to do for all ages including a kids area with lots of room for running around. Plus, you can enjoy food and drink from the onsite cafe. This is a great day out for families and children that love year-round activities.
Family days out are hugely popular with the public and even more once COVID restrictions are lifted. So finding somewhere you can go outside and still have all the fun-filled activities is a great find.

The Fortress is the main focal point when you enter the park. Nothing like running about like mad through and around the wooden fort. Scrambling through the tunnels and playing fun games as you go around.
East Links has its very own train safari which is actually really fun to go on. It can get rather busy so just make sure to queue up early to guarantee a spot on the train. As you go around on the train you can see all the animals and more of the fun facilities the park has to offer.
If it happens to rain then there are a couple of indoor barns to take shelter including the animal barn and the soft play barn.
Do you have lots of energy? Then take one of the family go-karts and go exploring around the track. Along the way, you can see some of the animals that live at East Links Family Park.
There is more than enough things to do at East Links Family Park to spend the whole day and enjoy some quality family time together.
Eating: Onsite cafe which has a doggy room where you can sit with your 4 legged family members too! The food was reasonably priced and tasted delicious.
Entry Price: For 2 adults and 2 children it is £56 (2020). For the most up to date prices please check directly as these can obviously change. Please book tickets in advance.
Opening Times: Normal hours 10 am to 5 pm (during the summer the park stays open until 6 pm and during the winter months it closes at dusk). Please check directly with East Links Family Park for any changes due to COVID.
