Top Attractions In Innsbruck With Kids

See the Views
Head to the Hungerburgbahn funicular which from there you can take the Nordkette Cable Car to explore. This is simple and fast and the views are amazing! It can be a bit chilly, so make sure you take some extra layers in case there is snow!
Alpen Zoo
This is the highest zoo in Europe with more than 150 different species. If you take the Hungerburgbahn funicular from the city then after just a few stops you can get off and explore this zoo.
Old Town
Great for just walking about and exploring at your own pace. The Golden Roof (The Goldenes Dachl) is a great attraction to go see. It is considered to be the city’s most famous landmark. There are lots of cafes nearby so you can just sit back and let the world go by (or until the kids get bored!)
Swarovski Kristallwelten
I didn’t get to experience this attraction, but we have seen many great reviews. It looks like an interesting place to visit with children. The play tower & play area look like great fun and will definitely keep the kids entertained.
Ski Jump
Bergisel Sprungschanze Stadion is a ski jumping hill stadium. It is pretty hard to miss and looks very cool. You can pay to go inside and then head up to the top. There are good views from the top and a restaurant. You may even get to see people jumping as they do some practice jumps.
Have you been to Innsbruck with kids before? What did you enjoy doing?

I think I could give that ski jump a go 😉 Or perhaps I’ll just watch. It does look a great place to visit with kids though. #mondayescapes
The ski jump looked very cool, although I dont think I could go on it myself. Was bad enough watching them fly off the end of the ramp! haha!
I’m planning a trip to the Alpen Zoo next month – waiting for it to get a bit warmer! Thanks for the other ideas too #MondayEscapes
Oh have fun! Look forward to reading about your visit to the zoo when you go. x
We’ve been thinking abut a city break to Innsbruck so this is really useful. In Oslo we spent a morning at their ski jump and it was a great way to see a city – and watch others on the zip-wire they had attached to the jump!

Oh you will have a lovely time in Innsbruck. Such a beautiful place to visit. If you had time you could go to Igls which is where the Olympic Sliding Centre is. There is also the Patscherkofel Cable Car which gives great views over Innsbruck and surrounding areas.
I’d have fun watching the ski jump but think it looks a little terrifying. Sounds like you a had a great time. Thanks for linking up to #MondayyEscapes
The ski jump was fun to watch but I dont think I could ever go on something like that!
Oh wow it looks amazing, so many gorgeous views although I wouldn’t fancy doing that ski jump! Thanks so much for linking up #mondayescapes
It is a very pretty city, and the surrounding areas are great for cycling and walking too. xx
